French robotic specialist Robosoft has demonstrated a prototype service robot, which can help those with disabilities people stay at home.
The robot, launched at Microsoft's Innovation Day in Brussels at the end of 2007, is a home-centric robot, which combines the Internet and robotics technology to provide daily-life services to people staying at home, according to the Health Europe website.
The aim of the robot is to show how service robots can help people by connecting to the internet, enabling social interaction, remote telemedicine, cognitive prosthesis and much more.
