Video: How did life begin?

In an attempt to answer one of world's most puzzling question: how did life on earth come to be? English chemist Harry Kroto takes a look at the recent scientific research in the field and learn about the ancient world of RNA and DNA.

Kroto is one of the 3 recipents to share the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and he is currently on faculty at Florida State University, which he joined in 2004. Prior to that he spent a large part of his working career at the University of Sussex, where he holds an emeritus professorship. He is also a member of the Board of Scientific Governors at The Scripps Research Institute.
