This story caught my eye today. It talks about using umbilical cord blood to stimulate neurogenesis in aged rat brains. If confirmed, it opens the possibility that scientists might one day be able to treat our own aging brains in this manner. Wouldn't that be something? I wonder what it would feel like -- to be old with a feeble brain and then, after an injection of umbilical cord blood, have your memory and other cognitive abilities greatly improve. I guess those Jehovah's Witnesses will never know!

By the way, why aren't others using this forum? Am I the only one sneaking around in here?
