Building the Bionic Man

Advances in medical prostheses and computer technology are making the dream of building a bionic human a reality. Recent improvements in our ability to augment the human body include a bionic eye and ear, an artificial hippocampus (part of the brain responsible for storing new memories), a bionic tongue, a bionic nose, a bionic lung and heart, a bionic arm, kidney, liver, stomach, legs and even anus—aimed at combating severe feacal incontinence.
