Heck yeah Machines Like Us is worth a dollar! You guys run this site quite nicely, you always write spectacular scientific and atheist news articles, and in my opinion you could get away with charging a small membership fee with some more popularizing or advertising of your website if you needed or wanted to.
Keep on Trucking!

I'm with you there
I certainly agree that Machines Like Us is worth our support. There's new content every day, and it's information that is really relevant to my interests. It's the best place I know of to keep up with scientific progress. There's no "pulp" or "filler" here, just good, rational science. It's like a breath of fresh air. I pop in each day while eating breakfast, then again when I come home from work.
From email conversations I've had with the site owner, I know something about how much work is put into keeping it fresh and vibrant. MLU is run on a shoestring, and it's easy to forget about how much of a service it really is.
If we use MLU, we should pay for it. I've contributed several times in the past, and I will continue to do so.
